Katy graduated from Pinderfields College of Physiotherapy, West Yorkshire in 1991
PGCE, MSc Physiotherapy, Grad Dip Phys.
She completed her initial rotational posts in the Midlands. a move to Manchester then followed with natural progression to a senior position in musculoskeletal physiotherapy with specialist clinical and research interest in rheumatological conditions. During this time Katy completed her MSc in physiotherapy as a part time student at Manchester Victoria University, graduating with distinction in 1999.
Katy moved to physiotherapy education firstly with Manchester School of Physiotherapy and then onto Oxford Brookes University where she still works part time as a subject coordinator for the MSc. Physiotherapy (Pre-registration) and as senior lecturer in physiotherapy.
Katy worked as a team physiotherapist at the 2002 Commonwealth Games. As part of her ongoing profession development she completed the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI) training and examinations to become a certified Pilates instructor and has been running highly successful physiotherapy led classes locally since 2011.
Katy's combination of knowledge and expertise in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, alongside her Pilates skills create a highly effective practitioner.
Katy is a member of the member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists and the Healthcare Professional Council.
